Worcestershire

Worcestershire is a beautiful county surrounded by the counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire. Worcestershire used to be traditionally devoted to fruit farming and the cultivation of hops. Although this has decreased in the later part of the 20th Century there are still many fruit orchards in the area particularly with-in the Teme Valley and the Vale of Evesham. The County is still predominantly rural and other than the City of Worcester there are only a few medium size towns to note such as Evesham, Redditch, Malvern, Bromsgrove, Pershore and Kidderminster. Towards the north of the county is the start of the vast urban sprawl of the Midlands. Worcestershire is well worth a visit offering something for everyone.
