Thursday Late Night Shopping in Worcester 2011

Late night shopping at the Crowngate Shopping Centre in Worcester

Once again in the run up to Christmas the shops and traders in Worcester will be offering Late night shopping on Thursday evenings with many traders extending their opening hours until 9pm.

The late night shopping will start on Thursday 17th November in conjunction with the turning on of the Worcester Christmas Lights.

This year childrens favourite Postman Pat and his cat Jess will be at the Crowngate shopping centre to entertain the children and to help with the switching on of the lights at 6pm.

Worcester Late night shopping will be available on Thursday 17th November, Thursday 24th November, Thursday 1st December, Thursday 8th December, Thursday 15th December & Thursday 22nd December.

If you are planning to do your late night shopping on Thursday 1st December then you will also find yourself in Worcester during the Worcester Christmas Fayre

 

The City Council are offering FREE PARKING in all their car parks after 6pm on late night shopping nights

Late Night Shopping in Worcester 2010

Late night Shopping in Worcester will kick off this year on Thursday the 18th November in conjunction with the turning on of the Christmas Lights in Worcester on the same day.

Many shops in Worcester and in the shopping centres will be extending their trading hours on Thursday nights in the run up to Christmas until 9pm.

Shoppers can also benefit from cheaper parking prices during the thusday late night shopping as the Crowngate Car Park will be offering £1 a ticket parking after 4pm until 10pm.

In addition all the council run car parks will be offering Free parking after 6pm on thursdays and all day parking on Sundays (from Nov 21st) for the price of 2 hours.

 

Christmas Shopping Evening at the County Museum  

Worcestershire County Museum at Hartlebury Castle will open its shop and museum late for Christmas shopping in November for those wanting to purchase that unique gift.

The Christmas Shopping evening will be held on Thursday, November 18 from 5pm until 8pm.

This year the Christmas late night shopping in Worcester will start on Thursday 12th November in conjunction with the turning on of the Christmas lights in the town centre.

Selected stores in the city will stay open until 9pm on the following Thursday evenings:- 12th, 19th & 26th Nov & 3rd,10th & 17th Dec

Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum

The Gallery will be open for a special late night shop on Friday 27th November. Join them for a glass of wine from 6.30pm and the chance to purchase something special from the "Crafts not just for Christmas" exhibition. They are offering a special 10% discount for anything bought on the night. For more details of the exhibition click here.
