Hereford & Worcester Radio

There are a number of local radio stations broadcasting around Hereford & Worcester.

You can tune into BBC Hereford & Worcester for talk, news and sport, contemporary music as well as some classic oldies. The fm frequency to tune in does vary slightly across the two counties. If you are in Worcestershire you will need 104.0 fm or 104.4 around Redditch and 104.6 in Kidderminster. If you are in Herefordshire then the frequency will be 94.7.  To tune in on am you will need 738 across and Herefordshire & Worcestershire with the exception of those of you living in Tenbury Wells who will need to tune to 1584 on am.

The Current DJ's on the BBC Hereford & Worcester radio station are Howard Bentham, Tony Fisher, Andrew Easton, Georgie Frost, Richard Spurr & Amanda Bowman. The shows are generally broadcast from their studio in Worcester where the radio station first started back in 1989.

Hereford & Worcester radio station Sunshine 855 also covers south shropshire and the marches -  The local Dj's Nick Jones, Adie James, Adam Green, Lee Vernalls, Liam Cash and Roy Stevens enjoy being involved in the local communities in Bromyard, Craven Arms, Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Leominster, Tenbury, Hereford, Worcester & Knighton amongst others and regularly attend local events through the summer. Some of the events that Sunshine radio will be involved with this year include the Royal Welsh Spring Fair, Three Counties Show, Party in the Park, Bromyard Gala, Royal Welsh Summer Show. Nozstock Festival, The Big Chill & Tenbury Show.

Sunshine 855 broadcasts from its studio in Ludlow Shropshire  - To tune in and listen to Sunshine 855 playing classic and current hits you can find them on the frequency at 855khz or find them live online.

The Wyre is a radio station for North Worcestershire covering, Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport and can be found at 107.2 fm and online. Mainly playing the top 40 alongside classic hits the Wyre presenters are Tom Campell - breakfast, Phil Ray - daytime, Pete Baker - drivetime, Alan Nicklin - weekend breakfast, Rob Ison - Sunday Classics, Stuart Hickman - weekend daytimes. They also have Dani Wozencroft, Ruth Griffiths and Carlie Swain as their North Worcestershire journalists.

Radio Wyvern Fm was rebranded to Wyvern in 2010 with the slogan "made for Herefordshire & Worcestershire". Playing music from the charts you can tune in and listen to Wyvern on 97.6 fm if you are in the Hereford, anywhere in Herefordshire or in Kidderminster in Worcestershire. The rest of Worcestershire including Worcester can tune in at 102.8fm.

For something a bit different Worcester also has its own youth community station Youthcomm which broadcasts 24/7 over the internet and is also now on FM at 106.7. Youthcomm radio is operated and run by young people across Worcestershire and aims to create an active youth community by getting youngsters across the county to work together.
