A new festival comes to Worcester for the first time. There are many festivals held in and around Worcester in the calendar year but September 2009 sees Worcester Feast as the newest member.

Worcester Feast is a festival of fine food & drink sourced locally, nationally and internationally which runs over 3 days and has over 120 exhibitors along with many other features and attractions.

The festival will play host to several wine demonstrations, explaining the process of getting the grapes and turning them into the fine wines that we all know and love. There will be a variety of cookery demonstrations (theatre style) throughout all three days and there is also a champagne garden where everybody can sit and relax with a glass of champers and some complimentary food.

There will be a children's area to keep the little ones occupied as well as local artists and performers creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.

Also lined up is a ‘Taste of Worcester' area, where many of the dishes from Worcester's finest local restaurants will be on show and available for tasting.

This is capped off by a Costume Exhibition of old-fashioned Hollywood glamour clothing that is open to the public.

The festival starts on Friday 4th September and finishes on Sunday 6th. The opening times are 10am - 5pm each day and will be held at Worcester Cathedral and The Commandery.
