The Worcester Basketball team are known as the Worcester Wolves

Worcester Wolves Basketball Club

 

Worcester Wolves are one of only 12 Basketball league(BBL) teams that play elite level basketball in the UK.

The Wolves home venue is at the University of Worcester and the team have exciting times to look forward to in the next few years. As well as England and Wolves Head Coach Paul James returning for his second season, it has also been announced that the Worcester Wolves will be moving to a new venue at the start of the 2011 academic year. Worcester Uni is building a new 2000 seat sports Arena facility to be called "Riverside" where the Wolves will make themselves at home.

For now though the basketball team, with returning players such as

Danny 'DG' Gilbert, Rod Middleton and Kastytis Normantas, are putting the various controversies of last season behind them and are focusing on the task ahead of getting the 2010/2011 season off to a good start.
