Neighbour Boundary Disputes Differ Greatly From Years Gone By!

 

In today’s society boundary disputes between neighbours over the garden fence is a far cry from yester-year when you could settle the issue amicably over a cup of tea or glass of cider and a nice Sunday roast.

 

It is well known that a little bit of knowledge can be dangerous and now we have the easily accessible internet (the gateway to everything you need to know) that notion has never been truer.

 

For instance; there is a common misunderstanding that the Land Registry Plans accurately record boundary positions.

The truth is the Land Registry Plans basically put on paper that which is seen on the ground and very often in the wrong place. The limited accuracy of the 1:1250 & 1:2500 scaled plans have to be taken into account along with the fact that boundaries can change over time which is not often recorded.

 

Rather than relying on your investigative skills searching on the World Wide Web you really need to seek expert professional help. This is one area where paying for the right advice really is going to pay dividends in the long term.

 

Once you have found your answers on the Internet are you then able to compile sufficient reports to submit to the Courts if it goes that far????

 

The answer is probably no – so you need to call upon a qualified independent Expert Witness to either help resolve the dispute at an early stage or is conversant in preparing Expert Witness Reports and also able to give oral evidence in court if needed.
